Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. She made her acting debut at the age of 16 in the TV production Her Costly Affair. After a difficult fight her way to a role, she got a chance in the 'Starship Troopers' series starring in Starship Troopers. At first, it was hard for Amy switching from modeling to acting. The reason is that most models aren't great actors. They are typically assigned small and insignificant roles. Amy didn't give up, and she eventually landed larger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. In 2005, Amy took part in the leading role of the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing since the age of 10. Amy continued to make important films like Crank with Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was loved as a regular role.
