Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Wellington, Manitoba. She grew up there. She was the first actress to make her acting debut in Flora McGrath in her character in the romance film The Piano. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington however was born and bred in Winnipeg made her acting d but in The Piano. At age 11 she was the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Paquin was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, and immigrated into New Zealand as a young teenager. In response to an audition Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish piano player. Flora McGrath is the daughter of the mute Scottish musician, who emigrated into New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. In her teens she emigrated to the United States. Paquin was the main character in the film Fly Away Home in 1996 and also had a small part as Jane Eyre in the film when she was still a toddler. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the Spanish queen in a lesser role. She portrayed teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) as well as Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
